Sally Lunn’s buns:

Charlotte and Jane will eat a prodigious amount of Bath buns in My Particular Friend, and of course the original Bath bun can be found at Sally Lunn’s House. I hope to give my personal opinion soon. UPDATE: There’s considerable dispute of the authenticity of the recipe conveniently found in the house in the 1930s and even dispute as to the existence of Sally Lunn herself, but visiting Sally Lunn’s is a treat. Dissuade yourself of the notion that a Sally Lunn bun looks incredibly like a hamburger bun.

You may hope to convince yourself instead that Sally Lunn’s has a passing resemblance to Molland’s, mentioned in Persuasion.
