The British Museum

In The Musgrave Ritual, we learn that Holmes had rooms “just round the corner from the British Museum,” and he presumably had many reasons to visit the museum. Visitors today can see the Elgin Marbles from the Parthenon, the Rosetta Stone, the Sutton Hoo treasures and fragments from two of the Seven Wonders of the World. And admission is free.
