I was browsing the forum at the Sherlockian Who’s Who when I saw a posting about The Case of Sherlock Holmes’ Secretary by Tony Harries. Harries was Mr. Holmes’ secretary at the time and I met him when he visited Denver in 1990. In fact, he toured the country. I think that was about the time that I bought my annotated Holmes and probably the beginning of my serious adult interest in Holmes. Last year Mr. Harries finally wrote of his trip and this year my interest in Holmes has reached a new level.
