Me at The Jane Austen Centre in Bath

Yes, I was in Bath a week before the Jane Austen Festival, and yes, I would have certainly loved to been there for the festival, but I saw Austen everywhere I looked and was very happy.

Probably the sweetest thing I saw was Jane’s portrait at the National Portrait Gallery is London. I’ve never much cared for it but when I saw it, such a tiny little thing in a room full of grandiose paintings, it was quite lovely.

My other two highlights in Bath were the Royal Crescent, especially the museum at No. 1, and the Prior Park Landscape Gardens. I’ll try to write fully about Bath later.
