Baker Street JournalAccording to its website, “The Baker Street Journal continues to be the leading Sherlockian publication since its founding in 1946 by Edgar W. Smith. With both serious scholarship and articles that ‘play the game,’ the Journal is essential reading for anyone interested in Sherlock Holmes, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and a world where it is always 1895.” I believe it to be the publication of the “original” Baker Street Irregulars society of New York City. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

Sherlock Holmes Society of London
The Sherlock Holmes Society of London, established in 1951, publishes a journal twice a year, holds the obligatory birthday dinner and sponsors trips, including to the Reichenback Falls in Switzerland. How cool is that? Very significantly, the society’s newsletters back to 1982 are availble to read for free as PDFs.
